Update to 0.4.0 and 0.4.1

Exploit: Zero Day has been updated to version 0.4.0. This is part of the Alpha Zero phase.

Changes:

  • Systems now have messages, letting you give a system an introduction or provide a reward when a system is solved. These messages are optional.
  • Styling of the site is now more consistent with respect to content containers, although mobile styling is still unfinished.
  • The background “console” now has a cap on its length, which should speed up the site and help avoid memory leaks and crashing tabs.
  • We improved some background monitoring to help us diagnose various site issues.

Let us know if you run into any problems with system messages. They support a subset of the markdown styling used on the forums.

Exploit: Zero Day has been updated to version 0.4.1. This is part of the Alpha Zero phase.

Changes:

  • Fixed error and freezing when you try to put a port inside of a system.
  • Fixed node restoration and splitter cooldown timing mismatches between client and server system simulators.
  • Fixed flipflop color in system thumbnails.

These bugfixes should reduce the number of “Solution is invalid” and “Declared duration does not match simulated duration” errors you encounter. However, there’s a tiny chance that previously solvable systems are now unsolvable, especially if they depended on the rapid firing of splitters.

Old solutions may no longer be valid, but you will keep the credit for solving those systems.
